Analysis of User Reports
User feedback regarding this number indicates a mix of experiences. Some users reported the call as seemingly legitimate, claiming that they were contacted by representatives from Westpac Bank, attempting to discuss loan details or savings opportunities. However, multiple others shared their concerns, detailing a series of red flags.

What Our Users Reviewed
I thought it was a scam but when I rang Telstra to have it blocked they confirmed that it was indeed from Westpac, and asked why I would block them.
Any doubters ring Telstra and they will confirm it is legit, form Westpac.
Just got a call - exactly the same!!! Aussie voice, no pressure - but started to taking about disclosure message etc - v scary - just said I wasn't going to talk about anything, going to local branch.
I just got a call from this number, said they calling from westpac and told me about my DOB and name. After that she said I have a delay payment for home loan which is $990 something and ask me to pay immediately, otherwise it will make me low credit for future loans. I said, I will transfer the money tonight when I back home. She ask me from which bank? I said ANZ. She said that may take 3 days, and then she said they have a wuick account, if I transfer the amount to that account they can receive straight way. I refused. Then she ask me which account I will transfer to westpac, because I had two account(1 loan.1 off site). At this moment I felt strange, because I already cancelled the off site one two months ago. I refused to answer any more questions and then she hang up.
I just got a call from this number and had similar experience to the above commenters. Something felt strange about the call, hard to put my finger on but instantly felt different from calls I usually receive from the bank. The caller wouldn't tell me what the call was regarding before I confirmed I was me, starting with my birth year (and probably would have asked for me if I'd given it), which I found strange. Surely a bank would understand that customers don't want to give out sensitive personal details before being told the nature of the call. Better safe than sorry on this one. Scammers are clever these days - so the good ones sound legit!
This is a scam. They try to take your detail and take money from your account. Don't trust them. The bank is never ask your info by contacting phone. Remember the bank knows you.
They don't even leave a voice mail!!!!!
This number is calling everyday, very annoying!!!!
It's "Westpac Relationship Unit". Is it legit? If it is, don't it's appropriate to call people on the phone. Going to check with my bank in person.
Wanted to see that I was getting the best out of my homeloan. Confirmed my DOB, they told me details of my loan including the amount I borrow and what I am at atm. Played official logo thing. Talked about different accounts and offers. Seemed legit. Didn't get myself into anything on the phone. At the end of the day I'd rather do that in person at some point.
Stated they were from Westpac Bank. Said they were trying to help me save money etc. Would take about 10 minutes. Played 30 sec info disclosure recording that sounded official. Dave told me my birth year then wanted birth date. Sounded very official, but I then declined to continue. Dave didn't seem upset and said goodbye. May have been the real deal, but I don't take chances with phone calls.
