The caller identified themselves as from the Vodafone billing department. However, I’m uncertain if it was legitimate.
I received a call from a number in Adelaide promoting a 45% discount on Vodafone phone plans. The offer seemed suspicious, so I informed the caller that I would reach out to Vodafone directly for verification, after which they abruptly ended the call. I advise others to be cautious!
The caller asked for my 4-digit customer access code to apply a discount, which seems suspicious. Once they have that code, they can log in to my account and buy new phones, directing them to a location of their choice. DO NOT provide them with your 4-digit code or any personal information.
I was contacted by someone claiming to be from Vodafone offering a discount on my service, but they insisted on obtaining my account PIN number. This should raise red flags about the authenticity of the call.
