I have also had that call and it's a scam. Vodaphone, Telstra and any others do not cold call. As soon as she started telling me about the 6 months discount, I made it very clear what she was doing and she hung up.

SCAM totally and utterly.

Missed call. Not calling back.

The caller ID shows this number as being from Adelaide, but the man on the line claimed to be calling from Perth. He mentioned that “My provider Vodafone” is offering me a 50% discount for the next six months, but I am actually a customer of Telstra, which makes this seem suspicious.

G

The number appears as an Adelaide landline on my caller ID, yet the individual claimed they were calling from Perth, which is inconsistent and suspicious.
