Indian-sounding man phoned, claiming to be from the Commonwealth Bank fraud section, saying my cc had been used in California for $1200. Straight away I knew it's a scam as my cc is blocked for overseas transactions, with a limit way under $1200. Hung up on him, blocked the phone number and reported it to my bank.
I was contacted by someone claiming to be from Commonwealth Bank, inquiring about a payment made using my debit card. However, I don’t own a debit card, which makes me suspicious of this call.
An individual with an Indian accent called me, claiming to be from the fraud department of the Commonwealth Bank. They informed me that my credit card had been compromised in California. I recognized that this sounded suspicious, so I told them that they weren't with the bank, hung up, and promptly blocked the number.
