Received call at 2:30 PM, strongly suspect it's a spoofed number from criminal call center

Received a scam call supposedly from "a credit card company" working for my bank but they listed the larger Aussie banks rather than tell me which one I actually banked with.

They told me that two unusual transactions had occurred on my credit card this morning and that they needed to verify these with me.

When I said I'd call them back at my bank to verify, and that I thought the call was a scam unless they could prove otherwise.. They hung up. Always query everything they told you and then if unsure. Ring your bank or visa card centre yourself. Never give any other info to them.9/10 times they are scammers!!
