My wife answered a call from this number and told the caller that she wasn't interested before hanging up.
This number rang twice. Both times it was blocked by Samsung as suspected spam. I looked it up and others have had issues with this number.
Received call from 0879240058 claiming to be from the National Broadband Network. Advised they had noticed issues with the reliability of my network connection and offering me a free upgrade to the Fibre Optic Network. As I am already connected to the Fibre Optic Network, I asked who my ISP was, as if they were from the actual National Broadband Network, then they would know this information. When they answered "Telstra" and I said "NO its not" they promptly hung up! Clearly phishing scam from scammer not related to the National Broadband Network Company. Hoping these numbers can be blocked, shutdown.
I missed at least three calls from this number. When I finally answered, I was greeted by someone with a very heavy accent claiming to be calling about my internet service. My husband intervened and told him that we weren’t interested in any scams today.
This caller claimed to be contacting me regarding my internet service. When I expressed my disbelief by saying "rubbish," the caller abruptly hung up.
