I received a scam email stating that my McAfee subscription was renewed through PayPal, with a contact number (08) 7659 0763. I have never subscribed to McAfee, and the email falsely claims that I registered for their updates through the PayPal App.
I got an email from gtyf907@gmail. Com also claiming my McAfee subscription was expiring and $419 would be debited from my account today and to call this number to get an "instant refund". Researched number and of course its a scam (I don't even have McAfee).
The caller was rude and called me a f*cking idiot when I questioned their authenticity. This experience definitely feels like a scam.
