Indian scammer calling me to say someone by the name of Judy was using my credit card in New Zealand. He wanted to cancel charges and issue me with a new card. I rattled off a clearly fake card number, which he was having trouble with. I said “I just checked my account online and there’s no charges that are unfamiliar to me” he said “let’s just double check and let me connect remotely and we will “remove the flying red flag” (his words not mine). He said I needed to download some app that allows them remote access. I told him I really didn’t have time to do this and would call him back. He then got verbally aggressive and called me every name under the sun.

Hung up.

Blocked.

This number was flagged by my provider as having a ‘suspicious calling pattern’ and, with the provider being Netsip (one of several repeat offenders for multiple scam/spam calls) as well as 3 calls coming from similar phone numbers in the past few weeks, I would advise people to ignore calls from this number.
(02) 7264 2199 - Some poor speaking indian Biach called me to say my Amazon account was hacked. She said “the transaction was raised at 4:00 am this morning” I asked her if she had nothing better to do than try and steal money from others. I also told her she wasn’t very good at it. She kept saying “no ma’am I am not trying to steal I am really from Amazon” I said “ok, I will call you back on 5 minutes and talk about my non existent Amazon account” She said “no, here at Amazon we cannot accept incoming calls in this department” I hung up and blocked.
