SPAM!! Just got a text saying I just paid $2199 for a camera from Amazon.
Text from 0413 900 626.
And told me to call 08 7200 0055.
Literally just got the same about paying $1969 for a laptop. My text came from 0402 733 440.
Text recieved, unknown, blah blah blah I owe money.
Scam.
Received text message that says “ Your Order #901GT421777 Amt. $2769.99 against Sony 55' LED 4K UHD SMART TV on 2021/05/24 Successful at AMZ, Contact us: (08) 7200 0055 if it's not done by you.”.
It is highly likely a scam. The guy pretend to be an Amazon customer services. They will send you a sms message first to tell you that you are having a purchase. The sms will have this number telling you to call them if it is not from you. Then I called them. They know my previous address and some of my credit card information. I think they have purchased some stolen data from somewhere. Do not give them any information. Call Amazon hotline (not their no.).
Indian Amazon scam. I've been calling them back from an unlisted number all day. All good fun :-).

I got a text from 0423 203 832 saying I paid $1.969 for a Lenovo Intel i9 Touch. I called the number 08 7200-0055 and he gave a OTP which I gave over the phone and saw these reviews whilst I provided it! So just hung up the call. Wish I saw these reviews earlier!

Scam text re $2500 TV purchased using my Amazon. So sick of these idiots!!

Fake sms from +61 468 617 662 about an order for a smart TV via AMZ - call this number if it "it's not done by you". The poor English is a bit of a hint that it is a scam but thanks to this site for confirmation.
Absolute scam, claiming my Amazon account had been hacked. They hung up on me once I told them that before I provide them with any further ID or bank details, I will report the matter to police and let them investigate it with Amazon. Don't give them any info!!!!
Scam - was texted by 0421707338 that I purchased a Sony TV for $2769.99 on Amazon and to call 08 7200-0055.

Got a message telling me to message this number if this random tv wasn’t bought by me.
This is a scam whereby they'll try to convince you in order to secure your account you'll need a password reset, but what they're actually trying to do is change it on your behalf and take full control!
I wish I had $1969 for them to steal. Definite scam for Lenovo Touch laptop from Amazon.
Anyone receiving a text telling them they have an Amazon Order for a Sony TV do not respond and do no give them the any Amazon One Time Password (OTP) code. They are scammers and they will use that code to access your Amazon Account. Amazon do not need an OTP to view your account and they do not run a support call centre in Adelaide.

Same message re 4K TV - SCAM.
This is a scam. These people send you a note that someone has accessed your Amazon account and purchased something. You call their call centre, they get a mobile unlock code sent to you. If you give this number to them, they will log into your Amazon account and the fraud will start. It is a HOAX and FRAUD.
Same message re Amazon for Lenovo laptop.
This is an attempt to panic the receiver of the call to respond. Don't bother, or have a rugby whistle ready to stop the conversation!

Definitely attempted scam. My text message was about a purchase of Sony TV from "AMZ". They didn't even spell ANZ correctly.

Got a text from this number saying I'd purchased an Intel laptop from Amazon & I had to ring this number back if it was not true. I made no such purchase & beleive this is a hoax.
