    Get lots of calls from 0870873512, I let it go to answering machine. Rang the number on a Sunday evening. Its Simply Energy, even after I told them I wasn't interested. They wanted my date of birth to change to their plan. I told them to go to hell with identity theft these days .

    Spam absolutely!! Multiple calls despite being on the Do Not Call register. Never leave a message so I will not be answering. In fact I have now blocked this number.

    One of the many different telemarketing calls I am bombarded with daily - receive from this number alone up to 6 to 7 hang up voice messages plus other telemarketing companie numbers home and interstate that also call me on a dayily basis. This is a joke - technology is that good these days that there is no privacy any more - doesn't matter if your number is private they still harass you on a daily basis - and blocking doesn't work aa companies will use different numbers. Its harassment and our #Government# needs to start doing something about it as we could be missing important calls due to the amount of not important at all calls we are bombarded with daily.

    Hi everyone. I went to the Simply Energy site and found a link to a "Do not contact me" email.

    [link] directly:

    Info@simplyenergy.com.au.

    With "Do Not Contact" in the subject line.

    Don't forget to include your mobile number in the email (...I nearly did...der...).

    I've only just done this myself, so fingers crossed...

    I have blocked about 10 numbers, all mentioned in the comment above. If I call it back it explains that I've missed a call from 'Simply Energy' and they'll call back. They call everyday with a new number, it's gotten to the point where I won't answer any numbers I don't know. Grrr how can we stop them?

    Omg, do these guys ever quit? I have had so many calls from so many different numbers in the passed two weeks. It never ends. All day long whether I am at work or home, it doesn't stop until about 9pm. Grrrr.

    These are the numbers that repeatedly call me:

    (08) 7087 3512.

    (02) 8999 1299.

    (03) 9039 6664.

    (08) 7123 4374.

    (08) 6365 4320.

    (03) 9039 6603.

    (08) 7444 4500.

    (02) 9037 2804.

    (03) 9039 3900.

    (02) 8277 6528.

    And there are calls from private numbers in between all of these calls. It's driving me crazy!

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
