I received a text message that purported to be from Binance, but I am unsure of its legitimacy and advise caution.
08 7086 6406 recently contacted me about a new OVO mobile device being registered to my account today in Singapore. I used to have an ovo mobile plan a few years ago, and being in australia, I'm aware that the company no longer exists. A search for the phone number appears to show this CTP insurance scam link. Beware former ovo mobile customers.
This number is associated with a scam. The caller impersonated tech support and claimed they needed to remove unauthorized charges or subscriptions from my account.
The caller falsely alleged that I had been in an accident and attempted to scam me with a CTP scheme. When I confronted her about being a scammer, she persistently continued her script despite my warning. I have now blocked the number.
