    I received a text from a mobile number saying it was AMAZ0N stating that I owed $3054 for an item that I had purchased, and this phone number was attached in the message. Needless to say I immediately called the number back and was greeted by a friendly sales rep and I happily transferred them the money owing! Great experience all around! In fact, I was so happy that I asked the man on a date. I myself am a male but I was so intrigued by this mans deep voice that I had to meet him. He was also curious. We were both straight up until this point. I have already thought of unspeakable things that I want to do with this stranger. Time will tell, Michael. Time will tell.

    Overall it was quite a good experience!

    Scam.

    Just ban the number. There has to be a better way for normal people to be able to stop this stuff from happening.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
