Now a days I am very sceptical about calls from any new number. They come in a lot of varities from Amazon subscription to wine seller. Few days ago there was a call which I accidentally attended - otherwise I am some of the genuine calls too - which was interestingly looked so authentic however it was recorded voice message that senses our replies and responds to us accordingly and they were trying to sell me few bottles of wine. gosh! Unbelievable with these rats now-a-days. Why would the telecom company enable someone - that is not a valid busniess or individual - to secure numbers from their account. Telcos should start looking into this. Government alone cannot do much - otherwise they would waste a lot of tax payer money on this.
Just got a call from this number claiming to be anchor advisors and they new my first name. Asked me to verify my name but I refused until they explained who they were. Call then said shut up and hung up.
