There is a Baycorp scam out there, they seem to be able to find actual Baycorp clients then call them from a fake number. My guess is corrupt call center workers, or someone in Baycorp selling your data, I wouldn't put it past them. I owed Baycorp about a hundred dollars, I googled them and got the fake number without knowing. When I called they told me the amount was over $16,000 without even asking my case number etc so I knew they were fake (notwithstanding that Baycorp DO unfairly gouge vulnerable, distressed clients since they have all the power and advantages and are disgusting unethical hypocrites). Then I looked again and found the real Baycorp. Sometime call center workers at real call centers steal the phone numbers and run their own scams which is yet another good reason why outsourcing everything is bad for the public.
