I received a call from this number, but I declined it as I did not recognize it. The caller, who spoke with an Indian accent, left a voicemail asking me to call back. I have since blocked the number and appreciate the insights from others regarding this caller.

I didn't answer the call but noticed it was from a Perth number, which is likely not anyone I know. I have blocked the number due to multiple similar calls in the past few days that seem to be increasing in frequency.

I received a call from this number claiming I needed to authorize a $940 PayPal purchase for a gift card. They provided options to press '1' to authorize, '2' to decline, or '3' to speak with PayPal. Not trusting the situation, I hung up immediately and later checked my PayPal account, confirming that this was a scam attempt. I strongly recommend blocking this number!

I received a call from a number based in Perth. The caller knew my name and warned me that a Russian hacker was using my phone number. The caller claimed my phone had an American IP address because the hacker was in the U.S. He instructed me to open my web browser and suggested what to type to check the "location" of my phone, but I chose to hang up instead.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from "PayPal," who informed me that my account had been compromised and there was a fraudulent purchase attempt. They pressured me to "update" my security information over the phone. When I asked if they could send a link to my email instead of discussing sensitive information with a stranger, the caller insulted me and abruptly hung up.

Received a call from this number this morning. It was a recorded message saying that there had been an unauthorised transaction on my PayPal account. I hung up. Why do these people keep changing the name of the company they're supposed to be calling from? Looking at this number they have changed their 'company' a few times from last year until now. If you get a call from this number don't bother answering it. Let it ring out. I will be in the future.

I experienced a similar situation where a scam caller, also speaking with a foreign accent, tried to acquire my personal information.

After I declined a call from this number, I received another call immediately from (03) 7067 6529. When I also rejected that call, I got yet another call from 0488 878 796, all within one minute. These calls seem to be connected, and I am very frustrated with the continuous scam calls I receive. It's time someone took action against these scammers!

I received a call that displayed a Perth number. The caller knew my name and claimed to be from Telstra's internet department, discussing fluctuations with my internet service and stating they were working to resolve the issue in my area. This is misleading, as I am not a Telstra customer.

M

I received a call on February 8, 2024, at 10:30 AM from an automated message claiming that an unauthorized purchase of $900 in cryptocurrency was made using my Visa card. The message prompted me to press 1 to authorize or 2 to decline the purchase. I chose to hang up instead, as I believe pressing either option may have resulted in a financial loss. This is definitely a SCAM CALL—do not answer!
