Received a call from (08) 6383 6714 while visiting Perth from another state. The call was likely a scam as no message was left, and when I attempted to return the call shortly afterward, I encountered an automated message stating "Due to temporary service changes we are unable to connect this call."
I suspect this is a scam call because the recorded message warned me about supposed charges that would be automatically withdrawn from my Amazon Prime account. However, my phone number is not associated with any Amazon accounts, which makes this call highly questionable.
During the call, I heard someone singing on the line along with a lot of background noise. They hung up on me before I could disconnect the call.
This call is definitely a scam; it was absolutely not from Commonwealth Bank as claimed. The caller's location indicated they were in Perth, Western Australia.
