Scammers!!!!!

Automated message saying calling from ANZ regarding an attempted purchase on my debit card.

It went through options to confirm purchase or report.

When I answered the phone, the caller immediately hung up. This behavior raises concerns that it could be a dubious or "dodgy" call.

I received a recorded message claiming to be from ANZ Bank regarding a suspicious transaction that had been blocked. After following the prompts, I reached an agent who was clearly not affiliated with ANZ, as I checked my transactions and found there were none. The individual on the line had an Indian accent, which further raised my suspicions.

Scam call. Do not answer.

Phone rang only 3 times but hung up and left no message.

This number has a history of being a scam number but appears to have gone quiet for 9 months before being activated again.

I answered a call that started with several 'clicks,' making it sound like the call was being transferred. An Indian-accented male eventually said "hello." I often hang up when there's a long pause before someone speaks, as it seems these calls are automated and designed to dial random numbers. I pay for my phone line for business purposes, and I find these calls incredibly frustrating and unproductive. The majority of my daytime calls seem to be from these scammers who waste my time and energy!

Caller was male and of Asian descent. They informed me they were apart of the Telstra network billing department and had been reviewing my billing history and because of my good ratings, wanted to offer a special discount of 40% for the next 8 months. I asked them to verify which company they were and I was told he is part of the Telstra network. I told him I didn’t believe him, said bye and hung up.
