Claiming from Suncorp -- SCAM.
I got a call from someone claiming to be from 'Suncorp.' They said I needed to call back urgently about suspicious activity on my account, but I don't even have an account with Suncorp.
Called, had a nice chat, definite scam, UK accents from both I spoke to. Gave them fake name, never once mentioned the account number had a scammer baiting youtube clip running in the background, he hung up, then called back after around 15 mins after he was listening to the clip in the background, he proceeded to try and convince me still.... Maybe because I mentioned I had over $96m in the account, I kept going back asking for a challenge password for them to confirm I was speaking to NAB, could not, even tried to make out a text message was sent to confirm it... These guys were very polished, but scammers through and through as they confirmed no details (or at least no real details) and I thought they would have been concerned about that.. But they were obviously wanted to scam a transaction by using the 2fa of the text messages, an older style scam but they were so polished I was a little surprised. Eventually I told him between the calls I spoke to my personal banker and he told me not to talk to them, when he cast doubt I told him to look at the last name of my personal banker and the last name I gave him, it was like.. "I would trust a family member more than someone who texts me whom I do not know and cannot verify, and they told me the number was nothing to do with NAB" he quickly hung up at thatr point, but took around an hour of their time, that is 1 hour less they can scamming some other poor sod. Love to bait them.
I received a call supposedly from NAB, where they informed me about suspicious activity on my account. They urged me to contact them immediately for assistance.
