An Indian man claiming to be from Commonwealth Bank called me. I could hear other people talking in the background, which indicated to me that it was a scam center. I told him that I recognized it as a scam and asked him to never call me again.
The caller claimed that my Amazon account had been hacked, which alarmed me. I decided to end the call immediately because it seemed suspicious.
I received an automated call claiming to be from PayPal, stating that I have a pending payment of $700 and instructing me to press 1 if this is not correct. When I called back using a different number, my phone provider, Optus, informed me that the number was disconnected.
This number has called me twice today and hangs up immediately each time.
Called multiple times over several days. Finally answered, so I could write this review; it was a very crackly line seemingly rerouted from Asia, trying to sell solar panels and battery.
