Overview of 08 6256 3841

The phone number 08 6256 3841 / 0862563841 has come under scrutiny due to user reports highlighting a pattern of questionable behaviour. Most users have shared experiences that strongly indicate this number is being used for scam activities, primarily involving impersonation of reputable banking institutions.

Classification of 08 6256 3841

Based on user reviews, it is safe to classify 08 6256 3841 / 0862563841 as a suspected scam number. The callers frequently pose as representatives from well-known financial organisations seeking sensitive personal information or claiming to block fraudulent transactions.

User Experiences

The first review notes a caller with a strong Indian accent alleging to be from Commonwealth Bank. This tactic is common in scams where the caller attempts to convince the recipient that they are addressing an urgent financial issue, thereby gaining compliance. The sudden hang-up once the recipient indicated they weren't customers raises red flags regarding the legitimacy of the call.

Following that, another report detailed a call from someone pretending to represent Bendigo Bank. Similar to the first report, the scammer's assertions about unauthorised transactions were met with skepticism from the caller, leading to another abrupt end to the conversation. Such interactions suggest a strategy to elicit fear, pushing the recipient to comply without verification.

Finally, a review mentions a supposed impersonator from MasterCard Visa, asking the user about a fictitious bitcoin purchase. The use of well-known companies adds credibility to these fraudulent calls, highlighting the importance of cautious engagement during unsolicited phone calls.

This number is a scam. I received a call on May 9 at 2:07 PM (Western Australia time). The caller impersonated someone from MasterCard Visa, claiming to be named Jenny from Sydney and inquiring about a $900 bitcoin purchase. There was a lot of background noise making it sound like a busy call center.

I answered a call from someone claiming to be with Bendigo Bank, who said that someone in America had attempted to access $2,000 from my non-existent account. When I questioned him about the situation, he abruptly hung up on me.

Background was noisy, lots of people talking at the same time. Guy with strong Indian accent said he's from Commonwealth Bank trying to intercept transfer from my account to the USA. I said I'm not with Commonwealth Bank and he just hang up.
