This number keeps calling me from Perth, WA. They do not leave any messages, and I received four calls from similar numbers within two hours. After not getting any response when I called back, I have decided to block them.

The caller had my first name, which they used to personalize the conversation. However, when I requested to know their identity, they abruptly hung up.

Computer voice telling me my ANZ account had multiple attempts of $1200 from my account. Man then answered the phone asking how he could help me. I said that they’d called me and asked how I could help him. He then said that I’d had multiple attempts from my debit card that were suspicious. When I pressed him he said it was my “ANZ access advantage credit card”. When I told him I didn’t have an ANZ account, he said “I’m talking about your credit card ma’am”. I hung up at that point. Total scam.

Scammer advising a payment has been deducted on your card from overseas. They will then ask you to download a screen sharing app - I was prompted to download 'Zoho'. This is how they gain access to your device to then lock you out of accounts and transfer money/sensitive information to their accounts. DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANY APPS/CLICK ANY LINKS. Banks will never ask you to screenshare.
