PHISHING SCAM. Call from (08) STD number, but sounded like it was from an Indian call centre. Claimed to be "Accident Claims Centre" but would not give me the name of the actual company. Is a hoax because I had had no accidents and any accident-related claims would be processed directly via my insurance company and not by an obscure call centre.

I had a phone call from this number saying he was from an Accident Claims Dept based in Adelaide and there was a report that I or someone from my home was involved in an accident within the last 2yrs. He said the report was regarding someone rear ending me, I said what sort of car does it say I own? He then said "hello can you hear me?" I repeated 'What sort of car does it say I own?' again he was trying to get me to say yes I could hear him, however I avoided saying yes because I've heard of scams where they say you agreed to something and have a recording of you saying yes as a way of accessing your credit card or other monetary scams where you are then alleged to owe them money.

He sounded like he was in a call centre in India, he also raised suspicion because there was no mention of the call being recorded for my privacy etc.

I don't trust any calls I don't instigate.

And will never agree that I hear them.

This is definitely a scam caller. Have rung me several times over the last few months asking if I had a car accident in the past 2 years. They state they are from an official department but as previous lady, mentioned hung up when I so I hadn't.

I had this number ring me at 9am this morning 29 Mar.2017 and it is definaetly a Perth number but I didn't answer it. We have so many wierd calls nowadays I just think the honest callers will leave a message and if they hang up then they are not worth the effort.

Appears to be a phishing scam call centre. Asking if you have been in a motor vehicle accident in the last 2 years with aim to trigger a new claims process. First contact I had said that someone had made a claim and they were investigating further by contact people that had been listed as involved in the accident (ie their phone details). However, they were unable to provide any details of the location or time of the accident, just that it had happened within the last 2 years.
