Scam -female pretending to be from eBay and saying a gift card had been authorised from eBay. Sounded very convincing. She wanted me to check my IP address on the phone and log into my account. Did not do this though she had my name. Put me on to a supervisor (herself) who changed her name when I requested it. She became very aggessive. This is a scam by theives.
I was recently contacted by someone pretending to be from eBay. They seemed convincing at first because they mentioned my name. However, their voices had an Indian accent, and when I asked for her name, she provided me with three common Anglo names. The caller became very aggressive and tried to persuade me to use Google Chrome on my phone. I contacted eBay afterward, as I believe these individuals are thieves, not just average hackers.

Wanted further details, DOB drivers licence details etc. Told her that I thought it was a scam and put me onto a "supervisor". I told him the same and hung up. Both sounded very convincing.
This phone number is definitely a scam. They called me claiming that I had made a purchase on eBay and that I would be charged for it. The joke is on them, as I do not even have an eBay account.
