I received a call on Saturday evening from a man with an Indian accent. He claimed to be representing an accident management company and was asking for payment. This seemed suspicious.
Scammer pretending to be car insurance company - "I'm calling in relation to a car accident you had last year."
Hangup immediately.
This was a spam call. When I attempted to call back, I discovered that the number is not connected.
After mistakenly answering a call from a number that appeared to be from W.A., there was a delay before anyone spoke. A woman with an Indian accent claimed to be from a legal firm and said I had been in a car accident. I hung up since I have not been in any car accident and have not visited W.A. in the last ten years. This is a SCAM!
The call came through as suspected spam, so I have blocked the number.
