I’m overseas…it’s 6:45 am…I’ve had 7 calls since 5:53! The last 5 all came in within seconds of eachother so I’m guessing people are scrambling the phone numbers. So far sydney, melbourne, Perth, Perth, Adelaide, melbourne & Brisbane. Where do these people get off calling? They call but then ring off or if I answer they say nothing.

The caller contacted my landline but hung up as soon as my answering machine picked up, which is typical behavior for scam calls.

I received a call from someone overseas using an Australian name, claiming that my credit card was used for an international transaction at 4 am. When I agreed to cancel the transactions, I was told they would transfer me to my bank’s security department, where they then asked for personal information to verify my identity. This is clearly a scam!
