Had a missed call from this number this afternoon. My phone automatically flagged it as a 'potential fraud' and blocked the number. Caller did not leave a voicemail message.
Missed the call, tried to call back after reading the reviews and the call is silent and then engaged signal.
Indian speaking female, asked if she was speaking to??? (my name) and then I said yes and she said I'm from Visa/Mastercard Department. You've got a charge on your card for $900, is that correct.
I asked what card and was told on my Westpac Card.
I said I don't have a westpac card and she no mam you don't understand its been transferred from your commonwealth card to a westpac card.
I said that's interesting I don't have a commonwealth card either and she said I'm sorry I must have the wrong person.
SCAM PLUS.
Scam caller pretending to be Telstra.
Indian sounding call centre claiming to be from Telstra. Apparently my "internet IP address has been compromised and is running on a public network" - which I know makes no actual sense at all.
I asked them to clarify and they hung up.
Spoofed scam call from "Amazon".
I received a call from a man named Mike who had an Indian accent, claiming he was from the Commonwealth Bank regarding a payment I made earlier today. However, I do not have any accounts with the Commonwealth Bank! This clearly feels like a SCAM.
