I received an unsolicited call from a female representative, who claimed to be contacting me from Perth, WA. She had a foreign accent and wanted to discuss my Telstra connection. She did not properly introduce herself, her business, or the purpose of the call, which makes me highly suspicious that it could be a phishing scam or something worse.
A caller with a foreign accent claimed to be calling regarding my Telstra internet connection. I wasn't expecting such a call on my silent number, so I hung up immediately.
The caller hung up as soon as I answered the phone, so I immediately blocked the number due to this strange behavior.
The call came through on my car’s Bluetooth. The caller said they were calling about my internet service. When I asked for their name, they hung up without providing any details.
