What Our Users Reviewed
I didn’t pick up the call, but it showed as a fraud alert, indicating it could be a scam.
Had a call on my mobile from this number 0775208280 claiming to be PayPal. His name was Oliver Thompson employee number 458644514 who wanted me to download Zoho Assist so that he could stop a payment of $750 being taken from my account from somewhere in Massachusetts US. They knew everything about me, even my last 4 digits of my credit card, my last 7 transactions on my PayPal account, my home address etc etc. Gave me the number 02 80055907 to call to verify that they were PayPal and John Lawson employee number 2589 answered the phone after a redirection (the original number didn't answer, that's when my suspicions became more alerted). I obviously didn't download the app to my phone as the app itself states it's used by scammers & they also started to stammer on the phone when I kept challenging them. I am a savvy IT user & they nearly convinced me, thanks to everyone who posts here, it's most helpful to identify bogus numbers.
A caller from this number claimed to be from PayPal, stating they needed to verify my IP address to cancel a supposed fraudulent transaction involving an iPhone. When I asked for the caller's name and a return phone number, they abruptly hung up.
I received a call demanding payment for a Mastercard that I do not even possess. The call center was very noisy, and the person on the line had a strong accent and spoke broken English.
I missed the call and no message left. Guessing a scam.

They called today purporting to be Telstra, calling about my internet problem. When I asked what the problem was, they hung up.
