I received a call today from this number - they are calling on behalf of Médecins Sans Frontières’.
I have checked their direct debit agreement and it states: '11.1 Donating through the Field Partners Program is one of the most cost effective ways to help Médecins Sans Frontières to achieve its objectives. This program is also one of our largest source of funds. Aida for Good Pty Ltd will be paid an amount equaling 20% of the four year pledge within four months of the commencement of your support.'.
Médecins Sans Frontières Australia has engaged Aida for Good Pty Ltd (ABN 73 121 276 506) PO Box 847, Broadbeach, QLD 4218 to act as its authorised agent to acquire pledge donors.
I received a call from this number stating they are from Médecins Sans Frontières after making a donation.
This is definitely from AIDA on behalf of companies such as the red cross, they are calling to verify your subscription with said companies in order to authorize taking your money. Read up on AIDA if you are interested in seeing where that money actually goes.
Keep ringing then hanging up. consisitantly.
If you or someone you know have signed up to pledge for a Charity, then this is indeed Aida. They are a Marketing Agency. Signed up for Red Cross donations 2 days ago and this number came up twice today. I don't answer numbers I don't know. Always ask who the Rep ACTUALLY is working for, NOT on behalf of I.e. Oxfam, Red Cross etc. They are actually sub-contracted by Aida. I'm now backing out after reading up on them. Most of my pledge is going to them for the first 12 months!!!
No wonder the are keen to verify.
It really is a shame that we try to help, only to find that there is a Network that is payed by our donations before the intended recipient gets a red cent, not to mention that our private details become not so private.

I called it back to see who it was. They've been calling me twice a day. No idea how they have gotten my number. It went to the answering machine for something called "Aida Verifications" or something similar to this. I don't answer numbers I don't know and if it was important, they would have left a message by now. The fact they don't, tells me it's not actually for me.
I registered a comment and it appears with a different phone number. It is really creepy.
They left me a message on my phone telling me they are from Oxfam.
This number is for Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders).
I also just missed a call from this number. I'm in NZ and I have no idea why they would be calling me!
