Further to my email of 2 April 2015, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (the ACMA) has received information that suggests that the calls you received from telephone number 07 5634 4032 were made by a call centre by the name of Santel International Pty Ltd.
The ACMA has recently written to this company advising it that a complaint had been received and providing it with information about the importance of complying with the DNC legislation. In accordance with its Do Not Call Register complaint handling policy (DNC policy), the ACMA may advise this business that further complaints have been received and that formal action may be taken if it does not address its compliance issues within a reasonable period of time.
The ACMA takes a graduated and strategic approach to compliance and enforcement which is aimed primarily at reducing prohibited calls and faxes to registered numbers as quickly and effectively as possible.
