    Keeps calling - if it was serious / legit you would leave a message. Not going to answer obviously annoying telemarketers / spam or scam.

    Australian contact enquiry. I phoned them and established they are insurance telemarketers. Had a pleasant conversation assuring them I wasn't buying and that this cold calling is an abuse of telephone privileges.

    Just had a call from this number. It was a woman telling me about insurance policy for Australian residents over 25. After telling me about the company she started asking me for my details so someone can call me later to follow up. Gave her nothing.

    Recieved a call, answered and then the line was quiet for three second before hanging up. When calling back a message says " you've reached the Australian contact enquiry line, there is a wait time of ... minutes".

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
