Got a call a couple of weeks ago asking to do a quick survey regarding the water quality in my home town. They said they will put me into a draw to win a table top water purifier filter system. Got another call yesterday 18/1/16 saying I had won the water purifier. Told me that they will send the $450 prize to my address. Asked that I would need to buy the filter $130 to have this machine work. Not thinking I gave them my card details. When I hung up I knew straight away that I did the wrong thing. They did not ask for my full name on the card nor pin number. I tried ringing the number 0755661173 to request them not to use the card. I ended up cancelling my card straight away. Today I have tried ringing the number without success. I think they need to be dealt with asap to avoid any further issues.
This is a company called National Consumer Service who is cold calling and trying to set up meetings on behalf of Real Insurance.

I did some research and have discovered that the company is registered as The Consumer Information Services. They are a division of Austel Marketing pty ltd.
Their website is [link] are located in Varsity lakes Qld. They are just metres from Bond University so most of their staff will be pissed off Uni students that keep getting told I'm not interested.
The reason they keep calling is because rather than putting on file that your not interested they keep your number live and comment something like very interested call back and then set a time that will make your number pop back up in the system for someone else to call you back.
