Had this number call me today claiming to be fromTelstra.. Told me his name was Stephen/Steven Grey/Gray...said there was someone who had hacked my computer and that I needed to get on my computer and press the "windows" and "R" buttons together?
Claimed he was from Melbourne.. I questioned where he was, as I knew 07 number is (Qld area code), he still claimed to be in Melbourne! My laptop won't even connect to internet.. I use my iPad! I played along for a while until I told him pressing windows and are together wasn't doing anything! Then told me he was getting the supervisor to help! I hung up then..
He claimed to be at 242 Exhibition St, Level 41, Melbourne, Vic 3000.

Do not answer when the phone is picked up. Before used to be an oxygen thief ringing often, telling me that they are from Telstra. I don't have a Telstra account.

SCAM. Beware- caller claims to be from Telstra and will ask for inet details/ computer access. Don't do it, tell them to "drop off". Note if you call the number back it will say not connected.
