Calls Alleged to be from Telstra

One of the most alarming reports came from a user who described a phone call from the number, where the caller claimed to be from Telstra, supposedly located in Melbourne. The caller attempted to gain trust by discussing technical issues related to resetting an IP address. This type of text message is often a hallmark of phishing attempts, aiming to lure unsuspecting victims into revealing personal or financial information. The caller claimed to be from Telstra in Melbourne, attempting to assist with resetting my IP address due to a supposed issue. However, they were unable to identify whose account it belonged to and correctly identify my name. When I questioned why their number showed as originating from Queensland, they stated they were in Melbourne before abruptly hanging up.
