    Received an automated message about stopping teen suicide. Message kept stop/ starting. Told them where they could go. Then received a call from (03) 5296 5965 telling me I had upset their caller. I told him that the number came up as spam so I told him I was annoyed about him trying to scam me out of my money and to take me off his list. Then blocked both of these numbers.

    Very bizarre call from a woman with an Australian accent. It sounded like a recorded message. She said she was from a youth suicide charity called 'All Kind'- never heard of it. She sounded very strange on the phone like she was excited about a product, not concerned about the large statistics. There was also a slight delay where she kept talking whilst I was talking for a while; and then her next sentence sounded like it had picked up on a key word or phrase I'd said and replied to that key word. It was very odd.

    I didn't answer this call today from a number I didn't recognise. No message left so I presume it was a scam.

    Caller: Charity scam.

    I received a call from this number, from a well spoken Australian woman, saying she was from Community something or other, feeding local community. She was asking for a 1 off donation of 3 different amounts in excess of $100+.

    I said three times I was unable to donate BUT she kept going, in the end I told her off.

    I think we have the right to be in our own homes and not have to deal with these sort of calls 24/7 365 days a year. It is very sad.

    Rant over! The IP picks up the phone call was coming from Bacchus Marsh but yet the number is registered in Queensland a few hours later the number was disconnected she calls back using different numbers again or IP locations from Google are located in Bacchus Marsh.

    Be very careful of this woman she may be harmful dangerous and could be psychotic! She likes playing and messing with your brain.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
