    The Name on the other line is Peter Johnson, with Indian accent, rang me claiming he's from Accident Claims Management Brisbane. Got my number from Australia Claims Authority. He insisted to tell him If I got accident & to tell him the accident detail so he can claim my accident for a 3rd party insurance. He's given me a different number to call him on 07 3831 1111 which apparently belongs to a restaurant & tried to ring that number but no one answered. He also gave me an address of Level 3 69 Ann St as the office. He provided different email address info.injuryhelps@gmail.com to send him info. I would feel more sorry for the older generations if they can't go to the website straight away when this guy call. Hopefully they're careful and not giving any details out so he can "claim" on their behalf!

    SCAM SCAM SCAM.

    My boyfriend got a dodgy call from this number saying he can get compensation for an accident he's been in (he hasn't been in one in years) the smart ass decided that they had simply called him instead of me as I had been in an accident the day beforehand and then they called me. (mind you there is no possible way that they could have accidentally called him instead of me for the actual accident as he is not named on ANY of my records especially his number except for at 1 hospital and my workplace. None of them had anything to do with the accident) they called me and I told them I wasn't interested in their scam and hung up.

    073831-1111 called regarding an accident compensation matter. Somehow this guy (Peter of Indian decent) had some details but wanted more. Received an email from him info.injuryhelps@gmail.com which I am sure does not belong to a legit company. Tried calling the number but just keeps ringing.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
