Heard Indian accent, hung up because seemed fake
The same scammers have been trying to call on this and some numbers 3 times every day. I always block any number not in my contacts list, you should too if it's your personal number. You can also buy devices to block calls to landlines, or contact your phone provider for help.
Eventually if you keep on blocking the calls slow down and *almost* stop. Then they start up again much more frequently - I think this is when they give up and sell your number on a list with others, and the next boiler room scam call centre tries to get their money's worth. If I keep blocking them they try harder and harder and eventually they give up too, and sell it to the next one. So it's intense for a while, slows right down, stops for 2 or 3 weeks then comes back hard for another 2 weeks before slowing down again. But still keep doing it, it does reduce the frequency after a while, and when they look at your number on their database they see that you're not a "hot one" who is known to answer their calls.
Flagged as scammers. We have blocked 07-35216744 but they keep ringing 2 per week. The police should investigate.

Flagged by Google as spam. Always a fake landline number, about the same time in the afternoon. Fortunately I've got them down to once a week by always blocking all numbers not in my contacts list using an app. But they never actually stop.
I read recently that if you reject a call without answering, they still know someone is there rejecting the call so they still flag your number "live" and will call again. I've found it best to use a blocking app. It took a few weeks but I went from many calls per day down to one a week.
