I received a call from this number at around 4:45 PM today 4th May 2023. I didn't answer it as I didn't recognize the number. I looked it up here and read that another person had reported that number about an hour before they rang me. It appears to be a SPAM call.

Called just after 7 pm, which is a concern, because that means they probably know I don't live in the eastern states (ie they're calling around dinner time like actual telemarketers do or used to do). They always used to call around 4 pm from fake Sydney or Melbourne numbers, assuming I lived in those cities.

I block all interstate land line numbers, recently they've been using more mobile numbers so I now have to block ALL numbers not in my contacts list. I like that on Android phones Google alerts you to known spam/scam numbers. If I have any doubt I sometimes call them back from a phone booth outside my place, or use number spoofing myself, but NEVER from my own number!

I've been blocking all unknown numbers now for over 5 months,24/7, because after a while if they can't get through they start trying very late or early, or on weekends. Do they really think if I DO take a call at such an inconvenient time I'll reward them with a sale? I suppose it's just reconnaissance trying to work if my phone is ever possible to call (it isn't, for them)

I use an app to block all unknown numbers and recommend others do the same. In the past if I blocked them for a few weeks they would slow down then give up but this current lot seem like they will never leave me in peace. I hate them with all my heart.

I didn't recognise the number so I didn't answer. It didn't leave a message. When I called it back from my VoIP phone, a recorded American voice told me to press 1 to be removed from their database or 2 to talk to "an e-commerce expert". A good number to add to the blocked list.
