3521 3081 called pretending to be Optus and wanting to 'help' with our home internet. Scam. Stay away!
This is a scam call.
I received a call from a female with a foreign accent claiming to be from Telstra, I informed her I am not with Telstra, upon then I was informed they know that but Optus was also with Telstra, and they are wanting to assist with the bad line with Telstra, I informed her I was not with Optus either. Then asked her what she wanted and told her I was not interested in receiving a scam call, at this point the caller disconnected the conversation. She is obviously working in a call centre as I could hear alot of conversation in the back ground mentioning Telstra.
Clearly when you challenge the accuracy and validity of the information they are trying to discuss whilst trying to obtain your personal information they do not appreciate being questioned and are just trying to obtain information to scam you. Please be careful and do not fall for this very obvious scam.
