I received a call from a male with an Indian accent who claimed to be from Telstra, stating he was checking on an internet issue. When he asked if I was the resident, I requested him to verify my address. However, he refused to do so, stating that the call was being recorded. He was incoherent and rude, which led me to end the conversation by hanging up.
The caller had an Asian accent and claimed to be from Big Pond. They mentioned my email address and stated that I was involved in a scam originating from America. I found their claims suspicious and, when I tried to call back, there was no ringing sound, which makes me believe this is likely a scam.
When I tried to call this number, I was informed that the number is either incomplete or incorrect. This strongly suggests it is a scammer!
