    Scam - I answered and their response was delayed. They claimed to be calling from Commonwealth bank security department, so I hung up on them. By the looks of other reviews they have claimed to be many other companies in the past.

    Today, I got a phone call today Friday 27/05/2022 at 12:00 pm, from the number 0735213017, and they try to scam me by saying my Network was switched from private to public and they told me that I need to download an app called AnyDesk to give them access to my network but what they really want was to have access to my computer. So that is why is really important to know how to deal with this kind of scam people. Just be smart and said that you can't provide any information or code digits even if they said that they are from Telstra or another internet provider.

    SCAMMER about my Broadband connection. Strong ethnic accent and you can hear the boiler room in the background. I strung him along for quite a while before calling him a name I won't repeat here, then telling him I had just put a curse on him and his family. There was a time delay in the conversation so he would have heard my message before I hung up and blocked him LOL!!!

    Called but did not answer. I will now get another wave of "You have a message" or "your package is on its wave" or now I get "can we chat". I am glad the January wave of "you are in this video" hasn't returned.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
