If you've recently received a call from 07 3517 4232 / 0735174232, you may be wondering about the legitimacy of the caller. Based on user reports, this number has been linked to suspicious telemarketing activities, specifically offering discounts on utility bills that seem too good to be true.
The most common expectation from this number is an offer where the callers claim that their company can pay all your bills, allowing you to enjoy a supposed discount of 30%. However, there's a catch—participants must pay 70% of these costs upfront. This is a classic red flag indicative of a scam, where the promise of significant savings is merely bait to acquire your financial information or steal from you directly.
User experiences highlight that the calls have been made by individuals with poor command of English, often confusingly conveying their message. This lack of professionalism, combined with the questionable offer, leads to a strong classification of this number as a scam.
If you happen to receive a call from this number, here’s what you should do:
- Do Not Engage: Avoid asking questions or giving any personal information.
- Block the Number: Use your phone's settings to block any future calls from this number.
- Report the Call: You can report the number to the Telecommunications Ombudsman or your provider's fraud department.
In conclusion, while 07 3517 4232 / 0735174232 may appear alluring with promises of outrageous discounts, it's crucial to remain vigilant. What Our Users Reviewed
I received call from this number today 11/01/22, a woman spoke first in garbled English, and I could not understand her.
She put on a young man whose English was a bit better but still very rambling. Acting on curiousity I EVENTUALLY realised that they were saying they provide a service where their company pays all your bills and you just pay 70% of the total cost. ie. A 30% discount.
I pretended to go along with it & asked if they need my banking details, he said no, they just take the biller's details.
Either these people don't understand how capitalism works or they pretend that they are paying your listed bills & take your 70% payment (based on fake payment slips) and then disappear.
What amazed me was how bad they were at this and that I could only understand 1 or 2 words of a long sentence.
They must be spoofing a local number and most likely calling from out of the country.
Block and ignore.
