I received a call from a woman claiming to be from Do Not Call Australia. In the background, a loud, barking dog could be heard as she offered a discounted price to block unwanted calls. I suspect this is just another scam.
I spoke to a female with a quiet voice and an accent. She took a long time to begin talking and asked if I was receiving unwanted calls, addressing me by name. She offered to provide a call-blocking service, but I cut the conversation short, saying that I could handle it myself. I felt too polite, but I suspect they are just out to make money.
This number continues to call me repeatedly. One time, they left a blank message, but near the end, I could hear a dog barking for about 20 seconds. It was bizarre and concerning.
