What Our Users Reviewed
Caller claiming to be from Telstra about my internet service, aggressively insisted I listen, said I was being silly and threatened to slap me, hung up. called my home phone
We eceived a landline call that was logged on our phone as 0733607239. A lady with a subcontinental accent, possibly Indian, said they wanted to send an National Broadband Network technician around to upgrade our phone service and software to optic fibre. She knew our postcode and that we were in line for such an upgrade. She did not know our name or address. I tried to press her on who she worked for and to get evidence of her authority to act in this way. The phone-line was immediately ended. It was definitely a scam. The apparent phone number for this call (above) matched a Telstra, Queensland number but had been ghosted by the scammer. Don't give them any details of any sort.
Claimed to be Telstra about internet issues, asked about modem lights, hung up when I asked about home vs business account
Another scam so fed up with these calls.
I am sick to death of these scammers who are trying to go that step further!
Firstly, the Indian guy only said hi after a very long pause which tells me this call is either diverted to overseas and suspicious.
The guyd not clearly talk to me like a Telstra staff member. Telstra staff members do not just call like that.
Then the scare tactic. Said someone is trying to get to your personal information!
I said, “who the f*k are you?”
The scammer continued to say he was from Telstra and tried to tell me the same thing.
I said, “I do not have a Telstra account so f*k off and Do not f*king call me again “.
We need to start getting tougher!! I know my language is horrible but what is more horrible than a person be scammed of their life savings is beyond belief and unAustralian.
I will continue to be strong and use whatever language I like. I am being confronted by a stealer, a person with no regard, no value, no morale compass. Do not expect me to respect whoever it is on the other end. I have every right to speak my mind.
AUSTRALIA DO NOT BE AFRAID, QUESTION, get their number and type it is Google and you will get your answer. Do not hold back. These people are below the ground and stealing from us hardworking people who are trying to manage in today’s expensive life.
