An Indian male was on the line, and it sounded like he was in a call center. He claimed to be from Telstra and mentioned he was calling about my internet service.
The caller pretended there was an issue with my internet. They had what seemed to be an Indian accent, and there was a noticeable delay before they answered the call, which made me suspicious.
I strongly believe this is a scam call! I didn't pick up when they called, but they left a message claiming that they had an automatic transfer for me. This clearly sounds like a scam! It's frustrating that telecom companies allow these automated calls to go through.
I was notified that my credit card entry for Kogan was declined for my safety; however, there was no specific card brand mentioned.
