The caller claimed that my NBN service was not functioning properly, but I don’t have an NBN connection at all.
I got a call from a man with a heavy accent claiming to be named Austin. He said he was from eBay customer support and was inquiring about a purchase that I did not make. This clearly sounded like a scam, so I recommend just hanging up on them to avoid any hassle.
I received a call from someone claiming to be from Windows Security, stating that my IP address had been hacked. The caller became frustrated with me and even called me an "MF" before hanging up. He could not provide the last eight characters of my IP address, nor could he tell me what version of Windows I was using. After I accused him of being a liar and a scammer, he hung up on me.
The caller hung up as soon as I answered the phone.
This call was from an individual posing as an NBN representative, which I suspect is a scam.
