I get calls from this number at the same time every day, but no one ever leaves a message, so I have blocked it.
I received a call from someone claiming to be from Telstra regarding issues with my internet connection. I'm unsure if this is a scam or not, and I'm seeking advice on how to proceed.
I received a call that I suspect is a scam. The caller claimed I had two suspicious transactions: one on eBay and another overseas.
Scammer Claimed to be from Mastercard. Thick Indian accent.
Scammer - Called and claimed that my email address (which he read out to me) was used in fraudulent criminal activity. He directed me to a government website ACSC, guided me to go through steps of this website and explained how to report fraudulent behaviour. Then told me not to report, told me to close it down and go back to main page. Then told me to download an app in my Samsung Play Store so he could give me a code to enter. He went through all this to convince me to enter my personal details, which I did not, and told him that I wouldn't be downloading anything, he got mad and told me to 'Just hang up the call then':)
