Telemarketing, Amplifon. They just keep ringing day and night despite having been told very clearly I am not interested. The last call I answered they said nothing and hung up. If you want some 'phone peace', block them (I am doing that right now!) Legitimate company or not, phone harrassment such as this should be illegal.

told them I'm not interested in what they're selling but they won't quit

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Amplifon a real company, and why would 07 3225 8812 keep calling if I didn't request contact?

Yes, Amplifon is a legitimate hearing aid provider, but that does not justify unwanted contact. The reports about 07 3225 8812 suggest the company or a contractor handling their marketing has sourced contact lists without proper consent. Australian telemarketing law requires companies to check the Do Not Call Register and honour opt-out requests. If you never signed up for contact from Amplifon and 0732258812 continues calling, this is a breach of those obligations, regardless of the company's legitimacy.

Why does 07 3225 8812 keep calling even after I've said I'm not interested?

Multiple contributors report the same problem with 0732258812, describing it as persistent harassment despite explicit opt-out statements. One contributor mentioned having a text service preference set up, yet calls from 07 3225 8812 continued. This suggests either a failure in the calling system to record opt-outs or deliberate ignoring of them. Blocking 0732258812 and filing a complaint with the Do Not Call Register is your most effective response.

Should I be concerned about the silent calls or hang-ups from 07 3225 8812?

Yes. One contributor reported receiving a silent call from 07 3225 8812 followed by hang-up, then repeated calls afterward. This pattern is consistent with robocall or auto-dialling systems, sometimes used to identify active numbers for further targeting. Do not return the call or engage further. Block 0732258812 immediately and report the silent calls to ACMA at acma.gov.au.

Why did 07 3225 8812 call about a hearing test I never requested?

Contributors report receiving unsolicited SMS messages and calls from 0732258812 about hearing tests they did not sign up for, described as unwanted marketing. It is possible your details were sourced from a purchased list, online form, or previous interaction with Amplifon or a partner that was misused. Regardless of how your number was obtained, contact you did not consent to violates Australian telemarketing law. Report to the Do Not Call Register at donotcall.gov.au.

What should I do if 07 3225 8812 continues calling after I block it?

If you receive calls from 0732258812 after blocking, the company may be using multiple numbers for their campaign. Document each call (date, time, brief note of conversation), then lodge a formal complaint with ACMA at acma.gov.au or the Do Not Call Register at donotcall.gov.au. Include evidence of your previous requests to stop. You can also request ACMA investigate whether Amplifon or their contractor is breaching telemarketing regulations.

Can I report 07 3225 8812 to anyone other than ACMA?

Yes. Beyond ACMA and the Do Not Call Register, you can report unwanted contact from 07 3225 8812 to Scamwatch at scamwatch.gov.au and contribute to Reverseau at reverseau.com.au. If you suspect data breach or misuse of your information, you can also report to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au. Multiple reports strengthen regulatory action and protect other Australians from 0732258812.
