Have been receiving a few calls from this number to our business over the past week or so. Caller hangs up straight after I finish the introduction without a word. Very frustrating.
Got a call today at 1.20pm from (quote exactly the same as someone else posted) a Male with an accent called from this number saying he was from the "Accident Compensation Fund" and that he had a report of someone on our number filing a claim.
I got a scam call about insurance a couple of weeks ago, so I laughed when he said this, and said I'd report him, and thanks or giving me his number. He was saying something along the lines of "you think you'll get me as I said this. I hung up. I have now added jis number as 'scammer' in my phone. Thank you to the person who suggested this. What really angers me is that my number is silent, and I am extremely careful with it. How are they getting silent numbers?
I had a call from this no. Today - I spoke to the guy - he was VERY inquisitive about our business and said that he was from "Sponsored In" Google Adwords. He was trying to make me sign up with him for an Ad on Google Words "saying if I pay $33.00 per day that I can make some serious money with out website. I was a bit stand offish with him and said, thank you I will ring him back (with no intention!) and since then, he has called twice and will obviously keep calling. He held me up at work for half an hour today going on and on trying to get me to sign up with him but you could tell he wasn't a real sales person! DON"T ANSWER this no.

Eventually you will get a call from a different number (for example I got 02 80917676) and they will make out that they are from a Government Dept/Agency or maybe a Company and they will offer you a device to stop/block unwanted calls for say $5 a month - AN OBVIOUS SCAM.
If you have "Caller ID" it is useful in determining if the call is one of these scam calls, if you don't have Caller ID all you can do is contact your Telephone Provider explain the situation, even provide them with the Link to this Webpage if you know how, state your utter annoyance in receiving these calls and that many others are receiving these calls, and demand that something is done about it; at least if they can block this number to your phone no. Or investigate what they can do about it.

An Indian sounding woman spoke the first time they rang saying we had accident compensation queries. One other time an Indian sounding man spoke saying he was going to shoot his supervisor for having him continually call our number. Obviously a scam.
