Had calls from 0390016884 a few days ago now had call from 0731801629 24/7 said they were Melbourne based company for virgin money so figure when you block the Melbourne calls goes to Qld call centre for them to try.
This number rang but left no message. When I called back heard what sounded like a call transfer occurring then a recorded message with no company name advised I was on hold for their next available operator, hung up as no name no talking.
After much prompting the caller (Matthew) said he was from a Melbourne Insurance company called 24/7. I know Melbourne is in the 03 area code, and 07 is definitely not Melbourne. I could here the sounds of a typical call centre in the background and as usual the caller took a few seconds to acknowledge once the call had been answered. I told the caller I was disconnecting the call for I was not interested in anything he had to offer. He hung up rudely, which is typical of call centre staff. A pox on their business model.
They called me and no-one was there - sounds a bit sus.
They rang back said they were from Melbourne from a insurance company for life and funeral insurance. I told them I wasn't interested. Then they told me I was interested, so I hang up. Melbourne area code is 03, their area code was 07. Queensland area code. Their dumber then I thought. Either it's a scam or a very rude insurance company . I'd waver for a scam.
